Spring Break

One of our biggest mission opportunities is our Spring Break Mission Trip. A group of over 30 students travel to participate in service work typically through UMVIM or UMCOR. We spend four days working hard serving the community. We lead worship at several churches with our Wesley Singers and student speakers. We have a free day where we get to travel to somewhere cool for a day. Most importantly, we spend the week together in fellowship and community, making lifelong friends!! The location for Spring Break 2019 is TBD! Come join us!

Fun 143

Fun 143 is Mission led by Wesley where we have the opportunity to work with the Middle and High School children who live at the local trailer park, Blacksburg Estates. We meet twice a week providing the kids with dinner, homework help, and resources such as school supplies and laptops.

209 Manna Ministries

209 Manna Ministries is a non-profit, volunteer run food pantry that started serving college students at Virginia Tech in fall of 2013! The pantry is open from 4:00-6:30 pm every Thursday at Wesley!

Cake Mix Collection

The Montgomery County Christmas Store asks us each year to collect cake mixes for those who come to the store.  The Montgomery County Christmas Store is an all-volunteer, community-wide, nonprofit organization which assists low-income families in Montgomery County during the Christmas season by providing a shopping experience characterized by choice and dignity.

Operation Christmas Child

We participate with First UMC Youth each year to participate with Operation Christmas Child's efforts of giving Christmas gifts to children in need. On Sunday, November 9, we will be going to Walmart to buy goodies for the shoeboxes after family dinner. We will then return to Wesley to pack and wrap the shoeboxes! Come out and join us in bringing a smile to a child's face after receiving some simple necessities and toys!!

Mission Days

Throughout each semester we will have mission days where students can do build projects, serve a the Rescue Mission, pick up trash around campus and much more!
