Areas of Ministry
Here at Wesley, we seek to bring people together through a variety of different opportunities. Our core structure focuses around values (Spiritual Growth, Love, and Grace) which we see as most important, and we are constantly pushing to be more engaged in where God is calling us.
Worship looks different for everyone, which is why at Wesley we have so many opportunities to engage in many different worshipful settings. We have Foundations, our Wednesday night worship service, as well Wesley Singers, a non-auditioning choir directed by Rev. Leigh Anne Taylor.
At Wesley, we define fellowship as intentional community building. For us, that looks like family dinners, intramural sports, and fun events throughout the semester. We're excited about creating a community that is fun and inviting.
Discipleship is all about growing in your own faith through the help of a community. At Wesley, we strive to do this through bible study, communities of grace, and one on one meetings. In this way, we are called and aim to love God, others, and ourselves.
As we seek to Love Out Loud, we are in mission throughout the year! Whether it is tutoring kids at FUN143, collecting cake mixes for the Christmas Store, Operation Christmas Child, mission weekends, or our awesome Spring Break Mission Trip, Wesley is in Mission With Others!
We want to share the amazing grace and love of God with all of our neighbors. Our outreach ministry seeks to invite students at Virginia Tech to be a part of this ministry.
